The Jamestown Democratic Town Committee will host a Community Conversation with Rhode Island’s senior United States Senator, Jack Reed, on Tuesday, April 15.
“Senator Reed has been a champion for middle-class families and believes all Americans should have the opportunity to build a better life,” the Jamestown Democratic Town Committee shares in a press release. “He is a senior member of the Appropriations Committee which authors legislation to fund the federal government and its operations. Senator Reed has been a long-standing member of the Armed Services Committee which oversees the nation’s military structure, overseas operations, and common defense”.
According to the release, Senator Reed will discuss how the unprecedented cuts by DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) have impacted the economy, our country’s global reputation, and what they mean for Rhode Islanders.
This Community Conversation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Jamestown Community Center. All are welcome. Seating is limited, organizers encourage those planning to attend to sign up at www.JametownRIDemocrats.org
