The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians in Newport is gearing up for its annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner on March 1, 2025. This event kicks off the Irish Heritage Month celebrations.

St. Augustin’s Hall on Eastnor Road will host the festivities. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., with dinner served at 5 p.m. Adult tickets are $40 per meal, while kids can enjoy a hot dog and chips for $10.

The evening promises a lively atmosphere with live music, Irish step dancing, AOH Pipes and Drums, and LAOH singers. Guests can try their luck with raffles, a 50/50 draw, and a silent auction.

Robin Federici, who’s organizing the event, reminds everyone that “Payment must be received to secure your reservation.” If you’re interested, give Federici a call at (401) 529-9617 to sort out payment and confirm your spot.

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Newport is a 501(c)(10) sororal organization. They’re all about promoting friendship, unity, and Christian charity among American-Irish Catholic women.

In 2024, the Newport division made a big impact, donating over $20,000 to local non-profits and individuals on Aquidneck Island and beyond. They’re aiming even higher for 2025, planning to boost their charitable giving through more fundraising and community support.
