Newport’s Winter Festival is heating up with the 28th Annual Chili Cook-Off, set for Feb. 15 at the Newport Marriott from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Local restaurants and caterers are gearing up to compete for the title of best chili in town. Attendees get to taste and vote for their favorites, making it a fun and flavorful event for all.

The cook-off boasts a diverse lineup of participants, including The Helmway, Newport Fire Department, Newport Harbor Island Resort, One Pelham East, and Pour Judgement’s Market on Broadway. Other competitors in the mix are Quencher, The Reef, SaltWater at Newport Harbor Hotel, Scratch Kitchen & Catering, Sea & Smoke Catering/Slate Hill Cattle Co., Skiff Bar at the Marriott, and Stoneacre Brasserie.

Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Adult admission is $12 with a Winter Festival bracelet or $15 without. For children aged 6-10, it’s $4 with a bracelet or $6 without. Kids under 5 get in free.
