The Rhode Island Turnpike & Bridge Authority has released its weekly travel advisory for January 5-11, outlining planned lane closures on several bridges and roads.

While the Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge will stay fully open, other structures will have temporary closures for maintenance work.

At the former toll plaza of the Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge, westbound traffic will see alternating right and left lane closures from January 6 to 10, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

The Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge will have a westbound right lane closure on January 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On the Route 138 Connector, expect alternating lane closures westbound on January 7 and 8 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastbound lanes will have similar closures on January 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Mount Hope Bridge will have shifting lane closures on January 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drivers using the Sakonnet River Bridge should watch for a northbound right lane closure on January 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
