JetBlue Airways will begin daily nonstop service between Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on May 1. Fares start at $49.
Flights will operate from PVD at 7 a.m., arriving at JFK at 8:09 a.m. The return flight will depart JFK at 10:20 p.m., arriving at PVD at 11:31 p.m.
This new service will provide Rhode Islanders with access to JetBlue’s robust network of domestic and international destinations beyond JFK, including service to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Aruba and the United Kingdom. The airline will also continue to offer nonstop service from PVD to San Juan, Puerto Rico; Orlando, Florida; Tampa, Florida; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Fort Myers, Florida; and West Palm Beach, Florida.
This new service marks the return of nonstop flights between PVD and JFK, which last operated in March 2009. JFK is the sixth busiest airport in the United States and serves as a major hub for both domestic and international travel, offering nonstop flights to 195 cities across 80 countries.
