Portsmouth High School’s varsity girls basketball team is now 7-5 for the season after a tough 54-30 loss to Ponaganset on Thursday night.

Despite the defeat, Gyselle Mairs (number 13) put up an impressive 18 points for Portsmouth.

Ponaganset continues to dominate with a 15-1 season record after this win.

The Portsmouth team is set to face Juanita Sanchez in their next game on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
