The Portsmouth High School boys basketball team pulled off a nail-biting win against Tolman on Thursday night, coming out on top 61-56 in overtime on their home court.

The game was a seesaw battle from start to finish, with neither team able to pull away during regulation time. The intensity ramped up as the clock ticked down, pushing the match into a thrilling overtime period.

With this win, Portsmouth’s league record now stands at an impressive 10-3 for the season. Tolman, despite putting up a strong fight, sees their record slip to 7-6.

Portsmouth’s next game is set for Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. against Central High School. They’ll be playing at Providence Career & Technical Academy.

Tolman is looking to bounce back quickly. They’re scheduled to face Mt. Pleasant High School in an away game on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.
