University Orthopedics is expanding its presence on Aquidneck Island with a new 10,000-square-foot facility in Middletown, Rhode Island. The modern office at 34 Valley Road replaces their previous Middletown location, offering patients access to the latest medical technology and spacious treatment areas.
The upgraded facility includes two X-ray rooms, 12 exam rooms, a specialized hand therapy section, and a large physical therapy space. To celebrate the opening, University Orthopedics held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local community leaders, including representatives from Newport Hospital and the Newport Chamber of Commerce.

“Cutting the ribbon symbolizes more than opening a new building. It represents a renewed commitment to the health and wellbeing of this community, to innovation in medicine, and to the enduring relationships we’ve been privileged to share with the people of Aquidneck Island over the last 25 years,” said University Orthopedics Chief Executive Officer Weber Shill, MBA in a statement. “We pledge to continue to earn the trust of our patients by delivering exceptional care, fostering wellness, and ensuring everyone who walks through our doors is treated like family.”
Shill also highlighted the importance of the staff, saying, “What truly brings the facility to life is the incredible team of professionals who work here. Their expertise, compassion, and dedication are the heart and soul of everything we do.”
This new Middletown office is part of University Orthopedics’ wider network, which includes clinics across Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
