Newport residents and visitors looking to dine out on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day have several options to choose from this holiday season. Many local restaurants are opening their doors and offering special menus for those who prefer to leave the cooking to the professionals.
Castle Hill Inn is offering a three-course Christmas Day brunch for $95 per person. Reservations opened by phone and email only on November 25.
The Clarke Cooke House continues its tradition of being open 365 days a year, welcoming diners starting at 5 p.m. on Christmas Day.
The Chanler at Cliff Walk has multiple offerings for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On December 24, Cara restaurant presents two blind tasting menu options – a six-course meal at 5 p.m. for $195 per person and a seven-course meal at 8:30 p.m. for $225 per person.
The Chanler Café offers a four-course prix fixe menu on Christmas Eve with seatings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for $145 per person.
On Christmas Day, The Chanler will offer a Four-Course Prix Fixe Menu from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. for $165 per person. A three-course children’s menu is available for $55.
“Join us for a warm and festive holiday dinner,” The Chanler states. “Our culinary team has thoughtfully prepared a special four-course prix fixe menu, blending classic ingredients with modern culinary techniques.”
Newport Harbor Island Resort serves Christmas dinner from noon to 8 p.m. on December 25. Their prix fixe menu is priced at $135 per person and includes a glass of wine.
Stoneacre Brasserie offers a three-course holiday menu on both December 24 and 25. Reservations for Christmas Day can be made online, while Christmas Eve bookings require a phone call.
Several other Newport restaurants are accepting reservations through online platforms for Christmas Eve dining. These include Lucia Restaurant, The Quencher, The Mooring, Flora at Gardiner House, The Black Pearl, The Grill at Forty 1 North, La Forge Casino Restaurant, Boat House Waterfront Dining, BEECH, and Tickets Restaurant & Patio.
Diners are encouraged to make reservations early, as holiday seating is often limited. Many restaurants require deposits or have specific cancellation policies for these special events.
