Rogers High School dominated Tiverton High School 40-0 in their yearly Thanksgiving football face-off. The game took place on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Toppa Field in Newport.

David Rivera lead the charge for Rogers with three touchdowns. Alex Toribio added two more to the scoreboard, while Hayden Younger chipped in with one.

Due to expected bad weather on Thanksgiving Day, officials moved the game to Wednesday.

After the final whistle, Alex Toribio from Rogers and Wayne Heilborn from Tiverton earn player of the game honors for their teams. In keeping with the holiday spirit, they each receive a pumpkin pie.

The Thanksgiving celebration extends to all senior players from both teams, who also get pies as a parting gift.
