The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) and Rhode Island Turnpike & Bridge Authority (RITBA) have published their upcoming travel advisories schedule, including road/lane closures, delays, etc. across Newport County.

Here’s the schedule of work to be completed in Newport County;

RITBA

November 24 – 30, 2024

Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge
Eastbound Right Lane Closure- 11/25- 9 am to 3 pm

Former Toll Plaza: Westbound Right Closure- 11/25 and 11/26- 7 am to 3 pm

Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge
Westbound Left Lane Closure- 11/26- 7 am to 3 pm

Route 138 Connector
Eastbound Right Lane Closure- 11/25- 9 am to 3 pm

Mount Hope Bridge
There are currently no lanes closured planned for the Mount Hope Bridge.

Sakonnet River Bridge
There are currently no lanes closured planned for the Sakonnet River Bridge.

Newport County Weekday

Little Compton: Alternating lane closures for landscaping work on the following roadways, Mon. and Tues., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Simmons Rd. from Willow Rd. to East Main Rd., and East Main Rd., from Simmons Rd. to Peckham Rd.

Tiverton: Highland Rd., from Bridgeport Rd. to Main Rd., alternating lane closures for driveway work, Mon. and Tues., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
