The Newport City Council is seeking letters of interest from city residents for two part-time assistant solicitor positions.
The positions are assistant city solicitor for law enforcement and assistant city solicitor of civil litigation. The terms would be from Dec. 1, 2024, to Nov. 30, 2026.
Resumes and letters should be submitted to the Council-elect by noon on Monday, November 25, at 43 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.
Formal appointments will be made at the joint City Council-School Committee inauguration ceremony on Dec. 1.
