Howard Thomas, 33, of 2 1/2 Pond Street, Newport, Rhode Island, was arrested by Rhode Island State Police on Thursday, November 7 at 7:31 p.m. following a motor vehicle accident investigation and subsequent traffic stop on Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket.
Rhode Island State Troopers arrested Thomas after investigating a motor vehicle accident and conducting a subsequent traffic stop. Thomas was charged with possession of a Schedule I-V (crack cocaine) over 10 grams under 1 ounce, driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and leaving the scene of an accident, resulting in damage to an attended vehicle.
Thomas was taken to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was booked and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace. He was subsequently released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a court appearance in the Sixth Division District Court.
