Federico Santi, chair of the City of Newport’s Public Sculpture Commission, will be the guest speaker at the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Newport County’s upcoming “Arts Around the Fire” event. The free event will take place on Wednesday, November 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sardella’s Restaurant at 30 Memorial Blvd West in Newport.

Santi will discuss the work of the Public Sculpture Commission and the numerous sculptures found in Newport’s public spaces. The event is open to the public, and no reservations are required.

“Arts Around the Fire” offers artists, writers, performers, and audiences a chance to connect with colleagues, discuss current happenings in the cultural community, and learn about new artistic projects and initiatives.

The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County, a non-profit organization founded in 1994, promotes and supports arts and culture in Newport County. The Alliance provides opportunities for networking, professional development, and public engagement with the arts.
