Spooky season has officially arrived, and this weekend, “Six Picks” is previewing some fun Halloween-related events happening around Newport and beyond. Be warned: some of these events are not for the faint of heart and are not recommended for young children. Check the websites for details.
October 19 -20, 26 – 27: Halloween at the Coggeshall Farm in Bristol is “all fun with no fright,” perfect for little ghouls and goblins. Kids and families will experience the farm dressed up for Halloween, complete with trick-or-treat stations, apple head carving, kid’s games, and a night hike on the farm. October 24: The 4th annual Night at the Mansion held at Linden Place in Bristol is a frightfully fun in-person event filled with thrilling activities and ghoulish delights from 7-9:30PM. October 25: Join members of the Fort Adams Trust staff alongside a volunteer team of expert investigators for the Paranormal Investigation Tour, a four-hour group paranormal investigation of Historic Fort Adams. October 25: The Menagerie at the Mansion at The Vanderbilt promises to be a night of revelry and merrymaking in the tradition of Lady Caroline Astor’s lavish New York City fêtes in the 1800s.
