The Portsmouth High School boys soccer team kicked off their state championship campaign with a bang, dominating Tolman 4-0 in the preliminary round of the RIIL Boys Soccer State Championship (D.1) Bracket on Tuesday.

Playing on their home turf, Portsmouth showcased their depth with four different players finding the back of the net. Jack Loper (#4), Sean Collins (#8), Jack Casey (#23), and Nolan Fox (#13) all contributed to the impressive scoreline.

With this convincing win under their belts, Portsmouth now sets its sights on the quarterfinals. They’re gearing up to face North Kingstown this Saturday at 3 p.m.
