I am writing to express my strong support for Penny Billington Hunt’s candidacy for the Newport School Committee. As a concerned parent in our community, I believe Penny brings the leadership, vision, and dedication that our schools desperately need.
Penny has a proven track record of advocating for quality education and fostering inclusive environments for all students. Her commitment to transparency and collaboration will ensure that the voices of parents, teachers, and students are heard and valued in decision-making processes. I am particularly impressed by her background in financial analysis and believe her skills will be an asset for the school committee, while planning for our children’s future.
Moreover, Penny’s passion for community engagement is evident in her willingness to listen and respond to the needs of our families. As a local Newporter who went through the school system herself, she understands the challenges we face and is dedicated to finding effective solutions that benefit our children and our schools!
