This week, our seasonal “Six Picks” series continues with a look at some of the best corn mazes found in the region. These activities are fun for the whole family, and some even allow four-legged friends. Be sure to check the farm’s websites and social media for updated hours due to weather and other conditions. Now go out there and get lost!

Escobar Farm in Portsmouth, a favorite since 2000, is sure to keep families busy trying to escape their “Where’s the Beef” corn maze. They’re open 10 – 6 daily through November 3. Be sure to stop by the pumpkin patch or ride the kid’s cow train while you’re there. Clarke Farms in Wakefield has themed this year’s maze “Over the Big Top.” While you’re there, be sure to check out the petting zoo, pumpkin patch, hayrides, campfires and s’mores, which are available most Saturdays in October. Open 9-5 most days, 10-5 on Sundays through October 30. 2984 Commodore Perry Highway, Wakefield. Details here.

Adams Farm in Cumberland hosts a corn maze with younger children in mind. They have the largest pumpkin patch in Rhode Island, a farm animal petting area, hayrides, cornhole and Hay Mountain, where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the farm. 495 Sumner Brown Road, Cumberland. Details here.

Salisbury Farm in Johnston introduced the first corn maze in New England in 1998. It’s still one of the region’s favorites, and this year’s theme is “High Sea Adventure.” Open 10-4, Monday-Friday, 10-5 on weekends, and this year featuring Moonlight Maze Hours on weekends from 6-9PM.weekends and holidays through October 31. 11 Peck Hill Road, Johnston. Details here.

Cucumber Hill Farm in Foster recently opened the “Food Favorites” themed corn maze for the season running through October 27. You’ll also find pumpkin picking, hay rides, a kiddie maze, pony rides, and axe throwing! Don’t miss the flashlight maze running every Saturday until 9PM. 39 Cucumber Hill Rd., Foster. Details here.

Scary Acres at Confreda Farm in Cranston features a haunted hayride and corn maze through November 2. The Corn MAiZE runs through October 27 and Scary Acres features the Dark Harvest Hayride, the Burial Ground Corn Field, and The Curse of the Bayou.
