This October, the RI Green Infrastructure Coalition (RIGIC) will host the sixth annual Stormwater Innovation Expo in partnership with the Stormwater Innovation Center. The event will take place on October 16th, 2024, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, at the Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence, R.I.

“The expo will include a panel discussion on the ‘Importance of Building Strong Statewide Partnerships for Climate Resilience’ featuring David N. Cicilline (President & CEO, Rhode Island Foundation), Kimberly Korioth (Chief Resilience Officer, State of RI, RI Department of Environmental Management), Curt Spalding (Principal Consultant, Spalding Environment/Climate Strategies, Senior Consultant, GZA GeoEnvironmental), and Rele Abiade (Compete RI Consultant, One Rhode Consulting),” said Sara Churgin of the GIC Leadership team.

Churgin added, “This year’s GIC Expo will focus on effective partnerships between a wide range of organizations implementing green infrastructure and nature-based solutions – making RI communities more resilient to the effects of climate change, including sea-level rise, flooding and increased precipitation, and warmer temperatures.”

General admission tickets, available now, are $35 and include access to the full day of events as well as lunch and a light breakfast. RIDOT is covering the admission fee for Rhode Island state and municipal employees. These attendees should use the “State & Municipal Staff” option at checkout.
