The Newport Police Department’s latest arrest and dispatch logs reveal a relatively quiet period from Tuesday, September 17 at 7 am through Wednesday, September 18 at 7 am, with only one arrest reported.

A 35-year-old woman, whose address was withheld, was taken into custody in the early hours of Wednesday. The arrest occurred in two phases, beginning at 12:45 a.m. when she was initially charged with violating a no-contact order.

Less than an hour later, at 1:39 a.m., the same woman faced additional charges. These included obstructing an officer in the execution of duty and a second count of violating a no-contact order.

As of the time of the report, no arrests had been made on Thursday.

On Wednesday, September 18, at 12:45 am, a 35-year-old female, whose address was withheld, was arrested on a charge of Violation—No Contact Order. At 1:39 am, she was taken into custody on charges of Obstructing the Officer in Execution of Duty and Violation—No Contact Order.

There were no other arrests on Wednesday, and there have not been any arrests yet on Thursday.
