Newport city hall newport city council
Newport City Hall.

Although Dave Carlin is running unopposed in the 3rd Ward, I feel a shout out is warranted for his ongoing appreciation for spending resident taxpayer dollars wisely. The upcoming bond request for $98.5 MILLION dollars, which he voted against, is a case in point. He understands that we are already facing significant increases in taxes paying for the earlier Rogers High School bond, increased City employment hires and, most recently, the minimum sewer charge billing ($81/month)  that hurts singles, seniors and those trying to conserve our natural resources by minimizing water usage.

Please vote for Dave Carlin to send the message to the other City Council members that we need to spend taxpayer dollars as if it was our money, because it is!
