The City of Newport’s first Community Office Hours will run from 10 am until 12 pm on Friday, Sept. 27th at the Edward King House, located just up from the Newport Public Library at 35 King Street.

Update: Due to an illness, the City of Newport has announced that they’ve had to postpone their inaugural Community Liason Officer Hours at the Edward King House today.

The following month, on Oct. 15th, Community Office Hours will move to 170 Broadway and the offices of Conexion Latina from 2-4 p.m. while additional Office Hours will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fluent in both English and Spanish with working knowledge of Portuguese, Newport’s Community Liaison is intended to serve as a bridge between residents and the various departments that keep the City moving forward.
