Since gaining popularity in the early 2000s, Jake Shimabukuro has reached new heights as an ukulele player. He has released over a dozen solo albums, won numerous awards, and played at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, Sydney Opera House, and the N.O. Jazz Festivals. Shimabukuro has also collaborated with other renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Jimmy Buffett, Jack Johnson, Bette Midler, Ziggy Marley, Sonny Landreth, Billy Strings, Lukas & Willie Nelson, and Warren Haynes.
One of Shimabukuro’s most important collaborators is Mick Fleetwood, with whom he is currently working on his new Blues album, Blues Experience. This project is a collaboration of two titans of the Blues, and it promises to be a groundbreaking experience for both artists involved. Fleetwood has extensive experience in Blues, and he has a deep understanding of the genre. Shimabukuro is also an experienced Blues player, and he brings a strong and steady hand to the table.
