Drivers traveling on Tower Hill Road will want to prepare for possible delays as the Rhode Island Department of Transportation repaves sections of the road in North and South Kingstown.

The work will continue from 9 p.m. on Sunday June 30 to early September, affecting travelers from Shermantown Road to the Oliver Stedman Government Center in South Kingstown.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation says that the repaving will take place overnight to minimize disruption to summer beach traffic, but drivers should expect at least one lane of travel open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Travelers are urged to note that the construction projects are subject to change due to needs, circumstances, findings, and weather conditions. The Tower Hill Road Improvements project is made possible by RhodeWorks and the Bipartisan Infrastructure and Improvement Act.
