The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will run a Sunday/holiday schedule on Memorial Day, May 27, in observance of the holiday. This schedule change will impact all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys.

RIPTA offices will also be closed on Memorial Day, except the Customer Service Kiosk in the Newport Transportation Center. The agency’s Flex Services will also not be available on Monday, except Route 203, which will run on a Sunday schedule from 10 am to 5 pm.

According to RIPTA, the statewide RIDE Program will also operate on a holiday schedule on Memorial Day, with the reservation line not staffed on Monday. However, passengers can still schedule an upcoming trip by leaving a detailed message on the appropriate phone line.

Further information on holiday schedules and other RIPTA services can be found by calling 781-9400 or visiting RIPTA.com.
