The Tiverton Public Library has announced it will host a weekly grief writing workshop to help the community cope with loss and trauma.

The free workshop, entitled “Facing the Mourning,” will take place from 1 pm to 2:30 pm on Wednesday, May 8, through Wednesday, May 29, at the library located at 34 Roosevelt Avenue in Tiverton.

The sessions will allow attendees to share their stories, build memorials, journal entries, and write letters as a group in the presence of Certified Grief Educator Kim Shute of Memorial Funeral Homes. The program is suitable for all ages and will be facilitated in a supportive and healing environment.

Space is limited in the workshop, and interested individuals are encouraged to reserve a spot by contacting the Tiverton Public Library at 401-625-6796 or visiting the Tiverton Public Library website.
