Calling all pizza lovers! Providence Pizza Week is back and will feature nearly 40 different restaurants from around the city. The event, hosted by the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau (PWCVB), will allow attendees to vote for their favorite pizzas from April 14 through April 20.
“Pizza Week is the perfect excuse to visit your favorite local pizza shop or to try something a little different,” said Kristen Adamo, president and CEO of the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau. Rhode Island is known for pizza, and this is our way of celebrating it. Whether you are a pizza traditionalist or prefer your pie on the wild side, Pizza Week offers something for everyone.”
Some of the participating restaurants include Francesco’s Pizzeria, which has won the “triple crown” of Pizza Week two years in a row, and more. Those who are looking for a more creative and unique pizza experience can try the shrimp and lobster scampy apple pie with linghi or the short rib with smoked duck.
Customers can vote for their favorite pizzas in three categories: Most Delicious, Most Creative, and Most Instagrammable. The winning restaurant will be awarded a $200 prize pack of restaurant gift cards. One lucky voter will also be selected to win a $200 prize pack of restaurant gift cards.
