Newport City Council will host a series of workshops on the FY 2025 Budget in April and May.

Each workshop will focus on a different area of the budget. The schedule of workshops includes the following;

Tuesday, April 23, at 5:30 pm: Budget Overview, General Fund, Revenues, Capital Projects, New Positions, Police.

Monday, April 29, at 5:30 pm: Fire, Maritime, Parking, Resilience, and Sustainability.

Tuesday, April 30, at 5:30 pm: Public Services, Planning/Economic Development, Zoning & Inspections.

Wednesday, May 1, at 5:30 pm: The city council and school committee will hold a joint workshop on the school budget.

Thursday, May 2, at 8:30 am: Utilities (Water and Water Pollution Control).

These workshops are open to the public and will occur in the Council Chambers at Newport City Hall.
