The Emmanuel community is inviting the public to experience the joy of music through a big band concert featuring the Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra on May 19.

According to organizers, “The Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra is one of New England’s best big bands. Featuring vocalists Carroll Venable and Jimmy Winters and guest appearances by aspiring young musicians, the 19-piece LBSO is a local treasure in a community that knows and hosts the finest classical, jazz, and folk musicians in the world.”

Proceeds will go toward funding Emmanuel’s new accessibility ramp into our main entrance, Emmanuel’s Community Bridge and Garden, which will open Emmanuel’s doors even wider to the whole community.

Tickets for the concert are $25 for general admission. Students can attend for free with a valid student ID and proper preregistration. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a cash bar will be available.
