The Tiverton Public Library has announced its new series of Art House Movie Nights, featuring a selection of contemporary feature films and documentaries.

The free event will take place on the third Tuesday of every month, at 5:30 pm, at the library branch at 34 Roosevelt Avenue in Tiverton.

The film for the first night on March 19, Love & Mercy (2014), stars John Cusack, Elizabeth Banks, and Paul Giamatti. The film follows the story of a Beach Boys leader, Brian Wilson, struggling with emerging psychosis as he attempts to craft his avant-garde pop masterpiece. The film also presents an opportunity for the public to discuss the artists, designers, photographers, musicians, and other creative fields.

A discussion will follow. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

The Art House Movie Nights series is an effort by the Tiverton Arts Council and Tiverton Public Library to promote creativity and build community through the arts. The series is free and open to all ages.
