The Newport Jazz Summer Camp at Salve Regina University is an exciting opportunity for high school students ages 14-18 to learn from professional musicians and music professors.

This year’s camp, in partnership with the Newport Festivals Foundation, will include master performance classes focusing on jazz theory and improvisation, small ensembles, and big bands, culminating in a final recording project.

Students will learn directly from experienced music educators and festival artists. The camp will conclude with each student performing on the Foundation Stage at the legendary Newport Jazz Festival at Fort Adams State Park, courtesy of Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc.

Registration is now open. Tuition is $1,400 for overnight and $800 for commuters. The application deadline is July 10; payment plans and financial assistance are available.
