Your final opportunity to say farewell to the Rogers High School Gym will be on Saturday, March 9, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“There will be plenty of RETRO MEMORABILIA to take home, photo opportunities, and time to reminisce with old friends and teammates,” Josie Chaves, Rogers High School Athletic Director, tells What’sUpNewp. Come join us one last time!”

In her weekly update to parents, Newport School Superintendent Collen Burns Jermain shared the following update on the event;

This Saturday: Open House Farewell To Rogers Gymnasium🏀

Rogers Gymnasium has been home to our Viking athletes since 1957 and has welcomed some incredible visitors, including President John F. Kennedy, the Boston Celtics, and the Harlem Globetrotters. We’re hosting an open house farewell to our beloved gym on Saturday, March 9th from 3:00-6:00 PM. Come by to soak in the memories and say a final goodbye before the gym is demolished to make way for our brand new, state-of-the-art Rogers High School.
