Executive Session
Newport City Council will meet in Executive Session on Wednesday, March 13, at 5 p.m. to discuss the City Manager Search and the replacement of the Chair of the Newport Zoning Board of Review. This meeting will take place in the Ground-Floor Conference Room at Newport City Hall.
This meeting will be closed to the public. According to a notice from the City Cleark, “pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws, Section 42-46-1, as amended, and in accordance with Section 42-46-5 Purposes for Which Meeting May be Closed, “(a) (1) Personnel Issues” …Discussions of the job performance, character or physical or mental health of persons…”

Newport City Council will host their next Regular City Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 6:30 pm.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the City Council Chambers at Newport City Hall.

Newport City Council will host a workshop on Zoning Ordinances in the City Council Chambers at Newport City Hall on Wednesday, April 3, at 5 p.m.
