The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce has selected the 2024 Excellence in Business Award winners. Now in their 18th year, the awards recognize outstanding business achievements in Greater Newport.
The Excellence in Business Awards Dinner will occur on April 9, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., at the Wyndham Newport Atlantic Resort, following the annual Expo. The ceremony will feature a speech by Jennifer Brummund, Chief Human Resources Officer at Raytheon, as the keynote speaker. The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce is one of the state’s largest business advocacy organizations, with nearly 1,000 members representing almost 50,000 employees. The Chamber’s mission is to connect, innovate, enhance, and advocate for the businesses of Greater Newport. The Chamber works to create valuable strategic partnerships and promote strong economic growth, diversity, and prosperity for its members and the Greater Newport region.
The Excellence in Business Awards are designed to celebrate local businesses’ successes and recognize their vital role in the community’s economic well-being. The award categories include Microbusiness, Small Business, Big Business, Emerging Leader, and Woman-Owned. The 2024 winners are Centreville Bank, Norman Bird Sanctuary, Charter Books, First Tee Rhode Island, and McNeill Children’s Institute.
