Malo RAOUL, the French Naval Officer assigned to the Naval War College in Newport

Capitate de frégate Malo RAOUL, the French Naval Officer assigned to the Naval War College in Newport, will be in Portsmouth on Sunday, April 7, to share his knowledge of French literature with the community.

RAOUL and his wife, Clotilde, will be delivering a talk titled “French literature and its Influence,” in English, at the Portsmouth Free Public Library. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session, also in English.

Capitate de frégate RAOUL has a deep connection to the sea and spent most of his childhood in Brittany. He has served as a search and rescue personnel in Normandy. He and his wife have been married for 12 years and have five children.

This event is an annual tradition where the French Commandant de Newport delivers a presentation to members of the Alliance Française de Newport and the local community. The event is free and open to all.
