Meet your new best friend, Milkdud – this week’s adoptable dog of the week!
Milkdud is a one-year-old mixed breed and is available for adoption at the Potter League for Animals in Middletown.
“This sweet boy loves the company of humans. He is so friendly to every person he meets and will give all of us love to anyone and everyone. He is so playful; tug toys are his absolute favorite and playing fetch is a close second,” Potter League shares about Milkdud. “Give him a stuffed animal and he will have it taken apart in minutes! Despite his playful side he can be equally as sweet and cuddly, but he only shows this side once you properly relieve his energy levels. He loves to go on walks and playing outside which is a lovely way to calm him down. Having free roam of the house would be the best for him, he does not enjoy being crated and he will try his hardest to escape if you try. He feels the same way about car rides and enjoys free roam in the car”.
According to Potter League, “Milkdud’s best fit would be in a home with no other dogs due to his high levels of reactivity. He does not have experience with small children or cats but based on his behavior while he has been here it may be a risk to introduce them. As with all of our dogs, the kennel is a very difficult environment for him but in his foster home he was much calmer and more cuddly. He just needs someone experienced with anxious dogs to help him acclimate to a new home the best he can”!
