Each summer the Newport Gulls roster consists of the country’s
most elite college baseball players. Hailing from top colleges and universities
throughout America, these players are chasing their dreams of reaching the Major
Leagues. Simultaneously, these players are making dreams come true with their
involvement in the community. One of the many programs the Newport Gulls
administer is Youth Summer Camps. This year’s camp is proudly presented by Rhode
Island Energy.
Youth Summer Camp has become a staple on Aquidneck Island and provides boys
and girls ages 6-12 with the opportunity of a lifetime! All skill levels are welcome as
Gulls players and coaches are the camp’s instructors and serve as great role models for
the youth of Aquidneck Island and beyond.
There will be five (5) four-week sessions of camp across three locations on Aquidneck
Island beginning Monday, June 17. Camp runs from 9:00AM-12:00PM, Monday –
Thursday. Friday is a rain date. Campers receive a Gulls T-Shirt, Game Tickets, &
Media Guide for a cost of $100.00 per session. This year’s schedule is as follows:
Session #1- Portsmouth: Mon, June 17- Thurs, June 20
Session #2- Middletown: Mon, June 24- Thurs, June 27
Session #3- Newport: Mon, July 1- Thurs, July 4 (Camp Held on July 4)
Session #4- Portsmouth: Mon, July 8- Thurs, July 11
Session #5- Middletown: Mon, July 15- Thurs, July 18
