A $290,000 grant program is now open to nonprofit organizations that serve residents in Newport County. The grants, funded by the Rhode Island Foundation, are available to help these organizations expand their programs and make a positive impact on the community.

The Newport County Fund, administered by the Rhode Island Foundation, offers grants of up to $10,000 to eligible organizations. These grants can be used for a variety of purposes, including developing new programs, strengthening or expanding established programs, and for municipal planning or leadership. The Newport County Fund also supports faith-based organizations that are serving secular programs or projects.

Nonprofits that are interested in applying for funding are encouraged to visit rifoundation.org to learn more about the application process. The deadline to submit an application is March 7, 2024.
