Conchita Marquita Noka-Glover, 79, of Newport, RI, died on February 13, 2023, in Newport Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late James Glover.

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Carter and Louwella (Wamsley) Taylor.

Conchita is survived by her children; William Carter, of Cranston, Melvin Carter, of Newport, Tina Marie Noka, of Marietta, GA, Tonya (Kenneth) Anderson, of Millbrook, AL, Tyrone Noka, of Providence, her sister; Valerie Taylor, of Wakefield. Her grandchildren Robert Carson, William Frey Jr., Kengretta Fray, Myeshia Stedford, Janay Noka-Wheeler, Darnesia (Peter) Aminzia, Kenray Anderson, Yaden Anderson and great grandchildren Thalia Stedford, Kiara Stedford, Avaha Stedford, and Hunter A. Aminzia.

She is preceded in death by her husband; James Glover; her sons, Jermaine Noka and Anthony Carter, and her siblings; Joseph Wamsley, Kenneth Carter, Patrick Carter, Marquita Carter, and Elizabeth Taylor.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr Marcus Wheatland Blvd, Newport, RI. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Community Baptist Church. Burial will be private.
