I would like to share a few thoughts with you about why our RI State Representative, Lauren Carson, is good for the residents of Newport:
1. She reaches out frequently with constituent meetings to hear our concerns. Citizens can reach her as she answers her mail and her calls.
2. She is able to work with the leadership in the RI Legislature and is respected by her fellow Representatives because she backs up her positions with facts.
3. She educates the citizenry by having state agency staff inform us on topics important to Newport. For example, she arranged the recent informational RIDOT meeting in Newport explaining the progress of the Newport Bridge Ramp Realignment.
She is true to her motto of Putting Newport First.
Ann McMahon, Newport
