Newport Water Division customers should expect a delay in receiving their July utility bills after vendor technical issues impacted the ability to issue monthly statements, the City of Newport announced in a press release today.

As a result, the City says that July utility bills will now be due on August 31st, 2022. Likewise, the late payment penalty date will also be extended for affected billing cycles.

The City writes that the Newport Water Division’s software vendor is currently addressing the matter and a resolution is expected soon.

In the meantime, if you’d like to speak to one of our Utilities Customer Service Representatives, please call (401) 845-5604. Inquiries may also be emailed to utilitybilling@cityofnewport.com.
