The Newport Restaurant Group (NRG), a collection of nine unique restaurant concepts throughout Rhode Island, is celebrating Thanksgiving with a selection of holiday specials at five of their restaurants on Thursday, November 28th.

Iron Works, located at 697 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, will offer a Thanksgiving menu in lieu of its regular menu from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Appetizers include Butternut Squash Bisque with crème fraiche and toasted pepitas; Point Judith Calamari with cherry peppers, watercress, and peppadew aioli; Roasted Winter Squash and Brussel Sprouts with house made ricotta, pomegranate seeds, spiced pepitas, and curry crema; and Roasted Cauliflower and Lentil Fritters with roasted garlic aioli, parmesan, and scallions.

Salads will include a House Salad: Arcadia greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, carrots, balsamic vinaigrette; Caesar Salad with romaine, focaccia croutons, shaved grana, and anchovy-parmesan dressing; and a Fall Salad of baby kale, spinach, arugula and watercress, julienned apple, roasted sweet potato, red onion, toasted pepitas, golden raisins, shaved grana, and a butternut squash buttermilk vinaigrette.

Holiday entrée choices include a Traditional Turkey Dinner with sausage stuffing, red bliss mashed potatoes, cranberry compote, glazed carrots, green beans, and rich gravy; Short Ribs with red bliss mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and braising jus; Brown Sugar Brined Pork Loin with red bliss mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, cranberry compote, and stone fruit glace; Roasted Salmon with butternut squash risotto, sautéed spinach, and smoked tomato basil butter; Shrimp Pappardelle with roasted tomatoes, onions, cognac cream sauce, fresh herbs, and grated parmesan; and Prime Rib served with acheddar and chive twice baked potato, glazed carrots, and rich au jus.

Thanksgiving desserts will include Cast Iron Cinnamon & Maple Bread Pudding with brown butter caramel, crème anglaise, and fresh whipped cream; Pumpkin Cheesecake with dulce de leche, toasted hazelnut brittle, and fresh whipped cream; and Pecan Pie with butterscotch, sea salt, and fresh whipped cream.

The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, located at 1 Sayer’s Wharf in Newport, will feature a traditional turkey dinner in addition to its full menu from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

22 Bowen’s, located at 22 Bowen’s Wharf in Newport, will feature a traditional turkey dinner in addition to its full dinner menu from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Boat House Restaurant, located at 227 Schooner Drive in Tiverton, will offer a traditional turkey dinner in addition to its full menu from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bar ‘Cino, located at 22 Washington Square in Newport, will offer its full menu from 11:30 a.m. -10:00 p.m.

Waterman Grille, Trio, Hemenway’s and Avvio will be closed for the holiday, reopening on Friday, November 29th for their regular hours.
