Autumn is here and between apple picking and spending time with loved ones, Newport Gallery Organization invites you to make some time to experience Newport’s vibrant art scene during their November Newport Gallery Night.
“Our 26 member galleries, museums, and cultural institutions will be open for self-guided tours, and showcasing the new works of some very talented local artists,” the organization states. “Thanksgiving is coming late this year, so if you don’t want to get stuck with too much last-minute holiday shopping, consider getting a head start with unique, handmade, art-related gifts”.
November Newport Gallery Night is scheduled for Thursday, November 14th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
There’s something for everybody, from cards, wood-carvings, and candles at the DeBlois Gallery Gift Shop, to unique metal jewelry for a wife, daughter, or special someone at Alloy Gallery. No matter your budget, consider Newport’s finest local art for the special people in your life.
“There are exciting new shows at many of our member galleries. Fall is a time for reflection and new beginnings, a theme seen at DeBlois Gallery’s “New Faces” show”, the organization states. “Full of works by emerging artists, “New Faces” proves that the community is thriving with fresh talent”.
Coastal Contemporary Gallery puts fall flora in full display with their exhibit, “Floralism,” in which three female artists translate their experiences and relationships into petals and thorns. CCG presents a vibrant garden in their floral pieces during the month of November, full of mystery, wonder, and delight
If you’re hungry after all these exhibitions, step into one of the 7 restaurants that collaborate with Newport Gallery Organization by providing discounts and specials for Newport Gallery Night visitors! Be sure to ask for a voucher at any of the galleries. Free parking will be available for the night at the Gateway Visitors Center and uptown at the Newport Art Museum.
