The moment that we (some of us) have all been waiting for is almost here! The episode of The Bachelorette that was filmed in Newport at the end of March will soon make it’s appearance on ABC.
What’sUpNewp previously reported in the headline and this story that the episode would premiere on June 10th. That air date was originally confirmed by Jane Pickens Theater with the Rhode Island Film Office and a producer at The Bachelorette. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
While originally scheduled for June 10th, What’sUpNewp has confirmed that the episode will air on June 3rd and Jane Pickens Theater will also host their community screening on June 3rd.
Jane Pickens Theater says they will notify everyone who has registered for the June 10th event that the community screening has been moved to June 3rd. That event is at capacity.
The Bachelorette on Facebook posted on Tuesday, May 28th that Newport and Boston would be featured in next week’s episode (June 3rd).
About the episode;
” Hannah takes her journey to find love on the road as she and the remaining 15 men travel to Boston and the beautiful seaside city of Newport, Rhode Island. Jed takes in the city sights with Hannah, shopping at Quincy Market, strolling in Boston Common and lifting a pint at the iconic “Cheers” bar. But THE BACHELORETTE has a real surprise for her date: a visit to the Auerbach Center, where the 17-time World Champion Boston Celtics practice, for an opportunity to play a pickup game with Celtics stars Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier. Moving on to Newport, 13 men get down and dirty, competing in a fierce but exciting rugby game at Fort Adam, home of the champion Newport Rugby Football Club, which sends one man to the hospital. Later that night, two men go head-to-head and Hannah is caught in the middle. Who is telling the truth? Will she follow her heart or her head? As she heads into her next one-on-one date, still upset, her tall, handsome suitor provides the needed support and comfort. That night, they dance to the music of country star Jake Owen, who sings his hit song “Made For You,” which leaves them to wonder if, indeed, they are a match. At an explosive cocktail party, two rivals take turns throwing each other under the bus, even as Hannah attempts to focus on her blossoming relationships. Will she keep both or will one make an early exit? The other men are left to wonder as Hannah walks out in frustration on “The Bachelorette,” MONDAY, JUNE 3 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand”.
Filming locations over a few days reportedly included Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina, The White Horse Tavern, Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center, The Clarke Cooke House, and Fort Adams.
On May 17th, the Jane Pickens Theater announced that they will open their doors for a free community screening of the event. This screening is not officially a part of ABC or The Bachelorette.
“We are excited to watch the Newport episode together on our giant TV (better known as the big screen!),” Jane Pickens Theater included in a recent email newsletter to subscribers. “The JPT might just become an international “star”location when this episode goes live on ABC 6”.
Jane Pickens Theater will open their doors for this event at 7 pm, and the show will begin at 8 pm. The event is free and now full.
