Newport Art Museum has announced that their popular program Art After Dark is back on Thursday, February 14 from 5 – 8 pm.

This month, Art After Dark will celebrate Valentine’s Day with “Eye Spy…LOVE!” – a special art-themed scavenger hunt through the galleries.

According to Newport Art Museum, “Visitors can work solo, in teams or with a friend to find tiny detail images from artworks in the Museum’s permanent collection. Answer teaser questions correctly on each successfully discovered image and be rewarded with a delectable Valentine treat. To add an elegant flair to the usual cash bar and light fare, Little Bitte Artisanal Cocktails will be serving festive, Valentine’s Day-inspired cocktails”.

That same evening, Newport Art Museum has announced that the Museum’s Elizabeth Conklin Museum Shop will also debut FUSION: a fashion-meets-art pop-up shop curated by lifestylist Sandee Saunders of The Sandee Saunders Project. The pop-up will feature a selection of work by ten international artists and designers including fashion designers Esteban Cortazar, Carlos de Moya, ISOUDE by Kate Brierley and Marc Allen. The Shop will also feature two jewelry designers: Cara Croninger and Laura Herrera. Handbags by Kent Stetson, condiments from Newport Sea Salt, and stationery from artists Kate Hoyt-Psaki and Mary Chatowsky-Jameson will also be featured.

The Shop will debut Thursday, February 14 from 5 – 7 pm during Art After Dark, and will also be open Friday, February 15 from 12 – 4 pm and Saturday, February 16 from 12 – 4 pm.

Admission to Art After Dark is free for Museum members and is a $10 suggested donation for non-members. Light refreshments and cash bar will be available.

Art After Dark is supported by BankNewport, Matouk and Narragansett Brewery as well as donations to the Museum’s Annual Fund.
