A Rhode Island native will be among the recruits and cooks that Chefs Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence will be whipping into tip-top culinary shape in the return of Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America in January.

The Food Network has confirmed that Brett Azar, a graduate of Barrington High School and the University of Rhode Island, will be among the fifteen recruits on the 15th season of the show.

Azar, who now calls Rahway, New Jersey home, has found success as an actor since growing up and working in Rhode Island. He currently has 35 credits to his name on IMDB, which includes his role as a young Terminator in Terminator Genisys in 2015

In the nine-episode season of Worst Cooks in America, which premieres Sunday, January 6th at 9 pm on the Food Network, Anne and Tyler each lead a team of kitchen nightmares through a rigorous culinary boot camp designed to improve their food skills.

According to the Food Network this season’s other recruits are Carmelle Bull (Atlanta, Georgia); Brittany Carel (Fort Lauderdale, Florida); Travele Judon (Chicago, Illinois); Cody Medler (Los Angeles, California); Chaz Oakley (Ninilchik, Alaska); Sponjetta Parrish (Athens, Georgia); Cameron Pennington (Grayson, Kentucky); Alten Poblete (San Diego, California); Kat Schuessler(Kent, Ohio); Caitlin Stolzenthaler (Brick, New Jersey); Mickey Wentz (Denver, Colorado); Antoinette Wills (Washington, D.C.); Allison Wolfe (Richmond, Texas) and Terry Yu (Stockton, California).

The season culminates in the finale on Sunday, March 3rd at 9 pm with the two most-improved recruits preparing a three-course restaurant quality meal for guest judges Debi Mazar, Michael Psilakis and Jessica Tom, who will sample the dishes in a blind taste test and determine the winner of $25,000 and bragging rights for their team leader.
