Newport, RI – Love dogs, need a 2019 calendar, need a fun holiday gift, and want to help support two great charities? The 2019 Dogs of Newport calendar is now available and can fulfill all your gifting, planning, and feel-good needs.

“Last year, I had the idea to produce a Dogs of Broadway calendar, as a tribute to my friend and co-worker Jayne Butler, who passed away in July 2017. She was a huge dog lover (as am I) and worked here at PDQ Graphics for 22 years,” Sarah Heaton of PDQ Graphics told What’sUpNewp.

“She loved all the dogs who came to visit us, and so we thought it would be a fitting tribute to her. It featured dogs who lived, worked and/or played here in the Broadway neighborhood. It was launched at the Broadway Street Fair last year and was very well received. The net proceeds were split between the Potter League (For Animals) and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Rhode Island”.

From the Dogs of Broadway to the Dogs of Newport

“We decided to do it again this year”, Heaton said. “But it’s now Dogs of Newport, and I’ve been all over the city meeting and photographing dogs”.

The 2019 calendars are on sale now at PDQ Graphics for $15 each, and they’re also having a launch event at O’Brien’s Pub on Thames Street on November 29 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm where the calendars will be available.

“It’ll be on their dog-friendly patio, so well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to attend. We hope many of our calendar dogs will be there on the night. The net proceeds from the sale of the calendars will once again be donated to the Potter League,” Heaton said.
