Newport, RI – The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Newport County (ACA) has announced their 2019 Artist Award and Fiscal Sponsorship programs, in support of Newport County artists and art projects that benefit our community.
Artist Awards
Artist Awards of up to $500 support arts projects throughout Newport County. We look forward to championing exciting and interesting arts activities and events presented in and for our community. Deadlines: March 15 & September 15, 2019
Fiscal Sponsorship
Most artists cannot accept tax-deductible donations, and thus are often limited in their ability to fundraise for their projects. The ACA can serve as a 501(c)3 Fiscal Sponsor for artists who are soliciting individual donations and grant funding for arts projects that benefit our community. Deadline: Rolling (6 weeks prior to grant deadline or project start date)
Artists of all backgrounds, identities, and artistic disciplines—including visual arts (illustration, graphic design, multimedia), performing arts (dance, music, theatre), literary arts (creative writing, poetry), and any other traditional or emerging field—residing in any of the six Newport County communities (Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Tiverton) are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must be a member of ACA.
