As the school year gets underway, Newport Public Schools has announced Open House hours for next week.

During the Open House’s, schools are open to the parents and family members of the students to allow people to look around the school and learn about it”, according to a press release from Newport Public Schools. “These are often held to familiarize new students (and their parents) with the facilities and meet other students and families or to open informal communication channels between school staff and the students and their parents. This is not parent conferences.  This is a meet and greet.  Parent conferences will be held at a later date,” the release states.
