LOCAL SHOW OF THE WEEK: Nova One Friday at the Columbus Theatre (Providence)

Nova One is the new collective led by Providence singer-songwriter Roz Raskin, previously of Roz and the Rice Cakes. The Live Local series returns to Newport this summer beginning Thursday night at The Parlor with the “Live Local PreJam” featuring three of Newport’s top bands. Tedeschi Trucks Band Sunday at Xfinity Center (Mansfield)

Boston native Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks are one of the leading couples in rock and roll. Susan’s bluesy wail and Derek’s sweet guitar sound front a powerhouse band that continues to grow a huge national fanbase. Check out their first show as headliner at the Xfinity Center Sunday night. Ocean State BBQ + Bands Festival Fri. and Sat. (Providence)
